Is it possible to trade in a salvaged 2000 Acura?

Looking to possibly trade in a 2000 Acura tl listed 'salvaged' in Seacoast area of NH. The transmission needs to be replaced for a 92,000 K(est.) 2000 Acura 3.2 tl. I don't have money to replace tranny and i feel that the best way out is to get a newer used or newer car. I have an existing car loan as well.|||Good luck

Most dealers will not take a car that is not driveable UNLESS you are willing to let it go for $100 towards your trade in.

Salvaged title will hurt you too.

Still owe on it....they can add the amount on toyour new loan|||Typical TL. The 1999-2003s have tranny eaters. Do a search and you'll see what I mean. My neighbor is on his 3rd transmission in his '02 TL. Have you checked with Acura about the TSB on the transmission? All 2000-2002 Honda Accord V6s, 1999-2003 Honda Odysseys, 2000-2001 Honda Preludes, 2000-2003Acura TLs and 2001-2003 Acura CLs You have pretty low miles. They may still replace it for free since it is under their extended the warranty for the TL's transmission. Based on your mileage, you still fall under the warranty.|||Yes you can trade it but you will get a very, very low place. I'd call a few local junkyards first. They'll give you a decent price for it and take it out of your way.|||Unfortunately if you're upside down on a loan on an 8 year old luxury car with a salvage title and a blown transmission I don't think anyone is going to take it as a trade on anything.|||I have met this sort of situation before, here is the resource I found helpful.http://car-loan.free-deal.info/free-approval.htm
