I am thinking about buying an acura integra for my next car. I heard that Acura says that premium gasoline must be used. Is this true? Can it run on unleaded?|||Acura recommends premium gasoline because the engine has a higher compression ratio than most cars. Premium means an octane of 91 or 93. All of todays gas is unleaded. You can probably get by with 87 or 89 octane gas if you do not put the foot to the floor. If you like your engine and accelerate fast frequently, then get the 91 to 93 octance gas.|||Premium gasoline is still unleaded. leaded gas is just about impossible to buy now.
Premium has a higher octane (knock resistance) than ordinary unleaded.
Could be true as some cars do need this.
