Do you think $3500 is a good price for a 97 acura integra ls in the los angeles area?

I'm looking into a used car with a clean title, has 122,000 miles, its a stick shift acura integra LS with a clean title. Everything on the car works fine. What do you think?|||Ask for the service records and have a mechanic give it the once over.

Verify that the timing belt has been replaced. That's a pretty expensive maintenance item. Usually around $800 - $1000 with water pump.

Also have mechanic look for collision damage.

If everything checks out that's not too bad of price if the body is clean.

Make sure the A/C and heat works.

I had a 97 integra and started having problems with the A/C every year at around the seventh year. I bought it new in 1997 and traded it in 2008.

Other than that the car was great. Minimal maintenance expense, fun to drive and great on gas.

If it's been properly maintained you should be able to get another 100k no problem miles out of it.|||Check the car fax and verify the engine # on the title, because it could be "warm", good luck, p.s. if it does not check out or the owner hesitates, or resists, walk away, you do not need that headache|||I suggest to go to an impound auction some times impounds sell as cheap as $500. Here in San Diego my homie bought a car for $800 it was a 99 supra. i don't know anything about impound auctions but yea.
