What maintenance to do to an Acura to keep the car a long time?
I've got a 1998 Acura CL 3.0 with 122,000 miles. I'm going to need to keep this thing for at least another 4 years. I drive 18,000 miles per year. I use tier one gas and synthetic oil, what else should I do to keep the car going a long time?|||Don't drive it hard when the engine is cold.
Replace the oil and filter every 3000-4000 miles
Keep a good check on oil level and water level
Keep a good watch on the Temperature gauge if it goes above normal stop and let it cool down this is the most lightly thing to cause big MECHANICAL trouble to your engine.
Do not rev high when passable 3000- 4500 rpm|||Replace your timing belt (if you havent already). Have your CV joints checked (and possibly replaced). Change your transmission fluid every 30,000 miles. Keep your oil changed regularly. You should be fine.|||there should be a schedule of maintenance in the owners manual but basically change the oil every 3000 tranny fluid and filter 20,000 air filter fuel filter flush the radiator etc|||Change your oil on time, don't mess with the transmission (Like when you speed up real fast after being at a red light).

It used to only work if the door was open but now it just sopped working whatsoever and i dont what it could be. Most likely loose wiring but any suggestions?|||u need a new window motor
Can a Honda dealership replace my Acura keys?
Lost my keys and need to go to the dealership to get them replaced. I was wondering if Honda was capable of doing this? The nearest Acura dealership is very far away.|||they can, they would replace it with a Honda key if you dont bring in an Acrua key
i have a 2008 Honda Ridgeline and i had them cut a 2008 Acura TL switchblade key and i have been driving with it for 1 year and 1 month tomorrow|||good question. I got my Pontiac keys at the Buick dealer
depends on how interdependant the two are since they're both Hondas|||yes they can because acura and honda are the same thing. they are the same company like ford and mustang or chevy and corvette|||You will have to go to an Acura dealer.
Locate an Acura dealer near you by clicking on the link below and enter your zip code.
http://www.acura.com/tools/dealerlocator鈥?/a>|||Rick James is wrong: Mustang and Corvette are MODELS of Ford, Honda and Acura are two completely seperate makes - however, he is right in the fact that Honda and Acura can make keys for both vehicles. Also, most of parts between the two (depending on model) are interchangeable - that's what makes them so great.

How many miles can a 2004 acura tl have before it tears up?
Im 19 yrs old and ive always wanted a 2004 acura tl.. i see some i like but they are like 9 grand with 155,00 miles on them. How long can they run before it starts messing up or i have to get a new motor?|||my 95 accord has 395,000 miles on it. honda engines will last forever if you change oil and trans fluid. just make sure timing belt is changed|||It depends on how you drive and service it.
How much mileage should a 2007 Acura TL get?
I recently purchased a 2007 Acura TL with a 3.2 liter engine. I think i am getting about 21 miles per gallon, but the gas meter seems to be moving down rather quickly and when I get to the pump I can only pump about 13 gallons. Is this normal?|||You can expect to get about 275 miles per tank of gas. I'm on my second TL, had an '06 and now I drive an '08 with navigation. I think I get about 20 miles per gallon combined. Not the greatest on mileage, but that's what you get with a 3.2 liter engine in a larger luxury car. I fortunately don't drive that much, so I get away filling up twice per month. You should also be using premium at all times as well. A lower octane will eventually damage the Acura engine. Keeping your fuel injectors clean will help, as will proper tire inflation.|||i have a 2004 TL, not the type s but the regular version. I get a combined highway/street 22 - 23 miles per gallon. If I am just doing a big long highway run like driving from SF to LA I get about 30 - 31 miles per gallon.
I have actually run out of gas before and never filled up more than 15.5 gallons. Despite the car manual telling me it holds 17.

How much would it cost to buy and put a motor with less mileage into a 97 acura integra?
im planning on buying a 97 acura integra, the car looks cool but it has 144,000 miles on it. i think the motor is the thing that has to do with the mileage right? anyway, if its the motor or whatever else it is, how much would it cost to put one in that has much less mileage so it will last longer?|||if you can find a good used one it would cost you about 800-1000 for the engine and about 700 labor to install it,you could easily put 2 grand in to it by the time you was done with it,but you may come out with a real good car when your done, that engine probably isn't hurt that much,so i wouldn't worry too much about 144 thousand on an acura, good luck.|||your welcome.
|||imports made after about 94 are good for about 300k miles usually and at 144k it s still rather new compared to a lot of cars i see on a day-to-day basis. but find an engine, possibly build one to make it meet your standards if your into such things, or the import tuner scene... but then the swap itself isn't that hard.
